I am a retired army veteran. Is it necessary for me to enroll in Medicare's supplemental coverage for prescription drugs?

Hi, Richard!
I apologize for the delay in responding due to traveling outside the country.
In response to your post...
You have several options.
Medicare Part D covers drugs, however, there is a "donut hole" that exposes a lot of cost to the patient in certain circumstances. SO, add Part D to the existing Part A & B OR change to a Part C (Medicare Advantage) plan as most of these plans include Rx coverage. OR take out a Medicare Supplement which is an additional private plan that fills in the gaps not covered by Parts A & B and offers drug coverage.
If you would like our Medicare specialist to give you a call to further assist you, please email your phone number to: info@jkbconsultgroup.com.
We look forward to speaking with you at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Sheldon

Extra Help is a program that helps those with low incomes and few assets pay for their Medicare prescription drug coverage. If you are enrolled in both Medicare and Medicaid, you are eligible for Extra Help, a program that helps pay for Medicare prescription drug coverage. If you are determined to be eligible for the Extra Help program offered by Medicare, you will be enrolled in a plan immediately. Because there might be better choices, you must research a strategy that works for you.
